You are about to read what has puzzled humanity from the beginning.

When you think about it, it's not that puzzling, shall we think together?  We know order wasn't the result of chaos, all this could not have possibly been the outcome of a "big bang."

So then, in the beginning God.  If you've ever read any part of the Bible, you've probably read the very first verse, which reads: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth" (Genesis 1:1).

If God wasn't at the forefront of everything, then who or what was?  The answer is simple, no one else, not even Mr. Big Bang himself.  Lets fast forward to Jesus.  Interestingly enough, the first verse of John, who was a disciple of Christ, writes, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God" (Jon 1:1-2).

What does this all mean?  Is Jesus who He claimed to be or was He a lunatic claiming to be God?  Well, a lot of the cults would have you believe that He is either the half brother of the devil (what a loving God this makes Him) or that He is equal to the archangel, Michael.  We'll save the study of the cults and world religions for some other day, but, God, in His nature must possess a few attributes in order to be God. For example, He must be omnipresent (present everywhere), omnipotent (all powerful), omniscient (all knowing), and immutable (never changing).  Here is the good news, the God of the Bible, (Jesus Christ) possesses all these attributes.  As far as we know, Jesus is the only God, in the arena of all proclaimed gods (world religions) that possesses these attributes.  Oh, one more, He must be loving.  Not just regular love, but unconditional love.  You say, how does He love us unconditionally?  Well, long story short, when you and I were enemies of God, He sent Jesus to die in our place.  That's right!  The punishment of death, due to sin, was on our shoulders, but God loved us so much, that he decided to send Jesus to die for us.  This brings us to the issue of sin.  Sin is very real and has power to put the noble to shame, bring the mightily to their knees, and the so called "average" to their demise.  If sin doesn't exist, then you've never lied.  If sin doesn't exist, then you've never had an evil thought in your heart.  If sin doesn't exist, then you've never made a mistake in your life.  Get the picture?  The fact is, sin wasn't always around.  When God made us, He made us perfect and without sin.  Here is a question worthy of some thought: if someone forced you to love them, wouldn't that be counterfeit love?  Some have gone as far as saying, forced love is rape!  Now, back to reality, ready for the answer?  In order for us to have loved God, well, lets put the blame on Adam and Eve, it's always easier to blame someone else, now, if Adam and Eve were to love God then they would have to have a choice to either love Him or not.  Guess what?  God gave them that choice.  He said take your pick.  They had the choice to either eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil or the tree of life.  You guessed right!  They chose to be like God and wanted a taste of evil.  Today, you see the effects of sin.  Death, famine, disease, hate, murder, war and the list goes on.  You are now wondering, what do I do with all this information?  There are no accidents under the providence of our God, Jesus Christ.  You are here on this webpage, reading this because God Himself directed your steps.  Did you know that the Bible says, "The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way" (Psalms 37:23)?

So you see, an omniscient (all knowing) God doesn't make mistakes.  Now that He has you here and has awoken your heart, will you take the first step in getting to know the God who formed you?  Will you accept the free gift of salvation?  Yes, it's that easy!  True Christianity does not require you to do favors for God, to do good deeds so that Jesus would begin to like you.  Since He went up on the cross and paid the penalty, there is nothing you can do to "earn" your salvation.  In true Christianity, God reaches down to man.  In other religions, man tries to reach God.  How silly when you think about it.  How can we ever reach God if He is holy, righteous, and without sin?  So, the question, what will you do?  Do you still have some questions lingering in the back of your mind?  Are you telling yourself, "I need to figure this out first before I can approach Him?"  How about, "I need to go get clean before I can come to Him?"  You need to come to Jesus as you are and He will make you clean.  Once you put your faith in Him, i) deny yourself, iii) accept you are a sinner, and iii) receive him as your personal Lord and Savior, then it is FINISHED.  At this point, you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit, and the Spirit of God Himself will reside in your heart.  Jesus, over 2,000 years ago said to Nicodemus, (a teacher of the Jewish Law), "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God" (John 3:5).

When you are born again, Jesus, through the power of His Spirit, will give you the enablement to discern right from wrong, but above all, give you the ability to see the world through the eyes of God Himself. So, as Jesus said, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Mathew 11:28).

The choice is yours, accept the forgiveness of sin and eternal security with Jesus along with the opportunity to make a difference for Him or face eternal damnation.  One last thing, since we are on subject, many say how can a loving God send people to hell, well, He doesn't.  He will simply respect your choice to love him or not, He will never force Himself upon you.  The same choice Adam and Eve had, is now yours to make.  Will you eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (the world system) or will you eat from the tree of life (Jesus).
